Fishing Boats

Lighter, Cheaper, Quieter

Traditional fishing boats rely on diesel or lead‑acid batteries, suffering from high fuel consumption, loud noise, frequent maintenance, and overweight hulls. HyMatt provides LFP battery solutions for fishing boats, partially or fully replacing the original power system. Whether you want to replace only the auxiliary power (lighting, hauling gear, navigation) or achieve full electric propulsion, we have the right product: the standard HyMatt‑P1 for small‑capacity retrofits, or a complete electric vessel via our partner shipyards.

Lightweight

Every kilogram saved means one more kilogram of catch. Lead-acid batteries are too heavy and take up valuable cargo space.

HyMatt‑P1 is60% lighterthan an equivalent lead‑acid battery, freeing up space and directly increasing revenue per trip.

Vibration‑resistant

Trawling, net hauling, and rough seas cause constant vibration. Ordinary batteries may suffer internal breakage or leakage.

Module‑levelvibration‑resistant designpasses marine vibration tests and remains reliable in salt‑fog and inclined conditions.

Long range

Trawling often lasts 8–12 hours. Running out of power mid‑operation means losing an entire catch.

LFP cells offer5,000 cycle life . Paired with a properly sized LanghESS‑S1 custom system, it supports full‑day trawling.

Low maintenance

Fishermen have no time for frequent watering, terminal cleaning, or acid level checks.

Maintenance‑free design no watering, no acid mist, IP67 rated. Install and forget. Yearly maintenance time near zero.

Replace auxiliary battery

Recommended:HyMatt‑P1 standard pack(100Ah or 200Ah).
Example configuration: 1–2 HyMatt‑P1 in parallel.
Outcome: 60% weight reduction, 5‑year life, maintenance‑free.

Full electric propulsion

Recommended:propulsion integration
Example configuration: 144V / 50–80 kWh, 10–20 kW PMSM.
Outcome: Zero fuel consumption, 6–8h range, noise60 dB.

Sport Fishing Boat Electric Propulsion Retrofit

After converting to HyMatt electric propulsion, a 35‑foot sport fishing boat eliminated diesel noise and fumes. Guests now enjoy silent, odor‑free fishing – dramatically increasing repeat bookings. Electricity costs are far below diesel, engine maintenance is nearly zero, and the boat gained access to sensitive waters. The owner became the region’s “first silent sport fishing boat,” with charters rising significantly.

FAQs

Our most frequently asked questions

Are batteries seawater resistant?

HyMatt‑P1 and LanghESS‑S1 cabinets are salt‑spray tested, IP67 sealed, with marine‑grade corrosion‑resistant connectors.

Is charging convenient?

Use ordinary 220V shore power (slow charge) or optional DC fast charge. Small solar panels can also be added for trickle charging.

What is battery lifespan?

5,000 cycles retaining 80% capacity. One full discharge daily equals over 13 years of use.

Do I need a new charger?

If replacing lead‑acid with HyMatt‑P1 at the same voltage, the original charger may work, but we recommend a lithium‑specific charger for optimal lifespan.

Will the retrofit pass vessel inspection?

We provide complete drawings and documentation to assist with ZC or CCS approval. Successful cases exist.
